Davenport Blue Sox Blue T-Shirt

The Blue Sox were founded in 1919 and played through 1937.

They were members of the:

• Three-I League (Illinois–Indiana–Iowa League)
• Mississippi Valley League (depending on season and league realignment)

The team was created shortly after World War I during a boom period for minor league baseball.

(later known as Fairgrounds Park)

Located in Davenport.

The ballpark became one of Iowa's best-known minor league facilities during the 1920s and 1930s.

Crowds regularly packed the stands during rivalry games.

Today, the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds are located on the site.
